Quality building techniques, unique designs, professional finish and attention to detail are what set my work apart. I personally work with customers from the beginning stages of their ideas to designing and building their custom projects. Once a design is finalized, I love the process of then taking a raw product, like rough sawn barn wood or live edge slabs that were cut from a local tree, and using it to create a unique and functional piece of furniture.

I started Homestead Woodworking in 2010 as a part-timer business and grew it to full time in 2012. My one-man custom furniture shop is located on my family’s acreage near Alton, IA. My passion for woodworking started as a young boy while hanging out around my dad’s custom cabinet shop, where I grew up being taught the basic fundamentals of quality woodworking.
